COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides 24 hours of intense classroom and hands-on training to prepare
attendees who may respond to an emergency spill, leak, explosion or incident involving
hazardous materials or hazardous waste. The emergency framework to handle the
discovery, evacuation, notification, aggressive or defensive action including post incident
evaluation of the response is covered both in the classroom and hands-on.
Course is approved through September 2026
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for employees hired to participate in emergency response
operations, or those who are highly likely or have the potential to be called upon to
engage in emergency response operations are required to have a minimum of 24 hours of
Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training. This
includes those operations described in 29 CFR 1910.120 (a)(1)(i-v) and 1926.65 (a)(1)(iv)
