COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for Operators and Spotters of solid waste management facilities Class I, Class III, and C&D.  Topics include: Basic information on asbestos regulations, effect of asbestos exposure, facility asbestos housekeeping, and facility asbestos policy.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVE

At the completion of the training the student should be able to discuss concerns with the accidental exposure to asbestos, the basic asbestos regulations, the health effect of exposure to asbestos, housekeeping measures to minimize exposure, and the required asbestos documentation.  There is not an exam requirement associated with the course.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is for Operators, Spotters, and any other worker of a Solid Waste Management Facility who works with the solid waste management activities.
